Nick Bertke a.k.a Pogo makes music the old-fashioned way by remixing and modifying old cartoons, TV shows as well as classic movies. The results are, well, pretty unexpected. Rather than going the usual old’ tired “-looping catchphrase”-way and basically sticking taglines to music tracks over and over, he creates soundscapes that feel like the actual thing he’s remixing.
H.R. Pufnstuf Remix is his latest piece, created by using vocals, musical chords and sound effects from the 1960’s children’s’show Living Island.
