To kick off this week, we bring to you the sounds of Accra, with a soothing track called ‘Kwabena’. Get your ears and eyes on this one! Here’s the latest venture by London-based producer Gabriel Benn, aka Tuesday Born, which dropped on November 5th (released by Audio Doughnuts).
Accordingly, Benn adopted his name from the Ghanaian tradition of naming (“Kwabena” the traditional Akan name given to a male child born on Tuesday) and has created a track that sets you in for a holiday mode. Here are the sounds and visuals from Ghana, fusing a hybrid of UK/African house, with a video featuring random shots of Ghanaian streets and faces of everyday people, directed by Eddie Otchere.
