1. Walk slow 2. Eat little 3. Don’t exert yourself – these are the ABC’s of surviving the altitudes in Andes. Roby Kikic and Joppe Rog (of Doug’nut) took on this challenge and have directed and edited ‘The Gold Of The Andes’ beautifully. The short depicts an epic journey to the grand and majestic landscape of the Andes. Selected as Vimeo’s Staff Pick and created back in 2004 by the talented Inoue brothers – Satoru and Kiyoshi, this short presents a fascinating road-trip and travel diary across South America in the quest for gold (wool) and Vicuna, an animal that the Incas believed to be a reincarnation of young maidens and has a coat of pure gold.
I’m in awe and amazed by this flick, enjoy!
