Based on a short story by Tim Maly, who’s “big into cyborgs & architecture”, the short film ‘Chupan Chupai‘ (translates as: Hide and Seek) is set in a relatively close future urban India, and is science fiction by genre. We observe a couple of children playing the game and exploring the city and its captivating architecture, as they hurry through the colourful streets and find hidden passages in an interactive environment. Our age is the dawn of augmented reality, and this short video shows us just what wonderful possibilities lie ahead of us.
“The project was developed for the ‘Future Perfect’ exhibition as part of the 2013 Architecture Triennale in Lisbon, Portugal and was presented by DAZED as part of the Visionaries series. “
