Sasha Go Hard is one of the brightest and most gifted faces coming from the Chicago rap scene in 2013. She’s been having an on-and-off relationship with the drill sound Chicago has been famous for ever since Chief Keef signed a multi million-dollar deal with the Interscope Records in the summer of 2012. Having already worked with an amazing young, talented Tink, Chief Keef, Diplo, and Kreayshawn, just to name a few, and with a couple of mixtapes out now (Round 3, Hosted by DJ Victoriouz, Nutty World, Do You Know Who I Am?, Glory Girl), Sasha Go Hard has just about outgrown her Chicago pants, and is ready for a European tour, which opens up with a show in Stockholm’s Slakthuset on January 31st .
The video for “Own Lane” is taken off her mixtape Nutty World, and is a depiction of the artist’s memories, mixed with thoughts on sticking to one’s way, people hating and hard won victories. “I’m in my own lane, with my own gang”, Sasha Go Hard has that hard-edged rap despite her angel baby face, doesn’t mess around, she goes at it with energy and zest. She’s still unsigned, and we’re all intrigued which house she’s going to park her car by!
