Meet Claressa Shields, boxing name: ‘T-Rex’, 17-years old, from Flint, Michigan, USA, started boxing at 11, spends 3 hours per day in the gym. Record: 19-0. T-Rex is an undefeated middleweight champion and put her stamp on history by winning the Gold Medal at the Summer Olympics in London 2012. She is the first female in history to win the middleweight Gold medal in Olympic boxing.
‘T-Rex’ is a short-documentary film created by Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper (a duo known as ZCDC behind the California Is a Place project) and follows the young boxer’s path through fortune and fame as she keeps knocking out her opponents in the ring, leaving
the rest of us flabbergasted.
