To all romantics at heart- here’s a song to fall in love with. Being soft as I am, this one evokes a certain vulnerability that makes my heart skip a beat. Endearing, heartfelt and magical – are words synonymous with this song called LUV (SIC) PT.2 by the Japanese hip hop producer Nujabes (rip) feat. Shing02, off the album Metaphorical Music (2003).
The visuals contrast the love manifesto, ironising the intended sentiment. The ‘silly running’ in slow motion, shot by Sou Ootsuki, humoursly clashes with the mellow and nostalgic sound. It’s kinda pointless, but liberating to watch, even in a mute mode. My favorite is the man 00:32 seconds in. Wow.
