Once in a while you need to be reminded that- we live in a time where it’s easier to do pretty much anything, than ever been before. This in itself might not be much of a revelation as that has been true throughout most of human history. As humans we’ve always been lazy and inventive. That said, it’s still a good idea to remind ourselves of how much of a lovely time we’re actually having.
This brings me to Ishac Bertran and his attempt of creating a mashup using only vinyl records and then playing said-mashup vinyl on a record player. It’s more of a charming idea than good way to create an awesome mashup, but the concept itself is pretty straight forward.
The plan is this:
Somehow manage to cut and use part of a vinyl record, and then instead use another piece from another record and finally- play the vinyl and listen to what happens.
Ishac goes into more details on his blog, which is well worth a read if you want to know why this method for mashups never really caught on.
