We’re stoked to premiere the stop motion video for Alec Lomami’s ‘Kinshasa’ (CHLLNGR Remix) off the EP Mélancolie joyeuse, which dropped in May earlier this year. The Congolese-belgian MC teamed up with Copenhagen-based producerCHLLNGR (aka Steven Jess Borth II) mixing French and Lingala lyrics, contemplating upon nostalgic and diasporic memories of the MC’s hometown Kinshasa. The video’s plot covers a kid eloping from home, embarking on a memory-trip full of childhood backflashes, beautifully directed by Anitra Keogh.
