The Square (Al Midan) is a work-in-progress documentary created by the award winning Egyptian-American filmmakerJehane Noujaim, which premiered and won the ‘Audience Choice Award’ in the World Documentary category, at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The short film unfolds the far from over Egyptian revolution after Mubarak’s Fall and seeks to tell the story of brave protesters in their thriving journey to rebuild Egypt’s future.
Jehane Noujaim takes us to Tahrir Square – to the very core of the revolution – and captures the undefeatable spirit of the Egyptian protesters determined never to give in.
