According to Alaa Wardi-”each person is a walking song”-, and that saying fits no one as well as Alaa Wardi himself. Alaa lives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and makes lovely pieces of music, using only himself and a bunch of audio and recording equipment. We’ve all seen it before on you tube- someone doing all the parts of an a cappella song single-handedly, then editing it into a video to achieve the desired effect.
The thing that sets Alaa Wardi apart is that he creates a whole soundscape and a darn good one at that. Personally, as a video editor I love this video. Not only is he playing with his voice but he’s also giving his beats different shapes in the video- it’s a minor thing, but it’s one that really stuck with me. Freaking awesome man!
