Coco O. of the Danish duo Quadron is alongside August Rosenbaum (on the omnichord) and Mads Forsby (on the hand percussion) covering Lauryn Hill’s ‘Ex-Factor’. It is really hard to cover a Lauryn Hill song, let alone do it well. Coco has a verysoulful tone to her voice and she pulled it off wonderfully. She didn’t need a studio let alone a microphone, which says a lot about her talent.
Although no one can replace Lauryn, Coco brought the 15 year old song some new, fresh life. What makes Quadron such a versatile group is their ability to perform in any genre and this intimate performance proves that. They will be releasing their new album this summer on June 4th called “Avalanche” so look out for that!
